My leopard ctenopoma was bullied by a new fish and his fins are all torn and his tail fin is like half gone... what can I do to help his fins grow back

My gaint gouri pair got in a fight and the female was pretty much finless. I moved her to her own tank (mainly due to size) added salts and kept water changes up, I never used melafix but was doing water changes daily for the first week. its been about 1 month and her fins are almost all back. tails grown back a good 2-3.5 inches.

Anyways I would just do lots of water changes and a good feed. melafix would be a must if your not doing daily water changes though and remember to add some extra oxygen source to the tank. May only be me but I always notice with melafix and pimafix fish always seem to be gasping once an air stone or I aim the return above the water like a spray bar they go back to normal.

Change water, turn up heat, add salt and keep lights out.

Good old aquarium salt...I have used the items that have been mentioned and I am currently nursing a beaten up Arowana with just good clean water. It's pectoral fins were torn up and tail fin was halfway gone when I rescued it.Now a few weeks later the pectorals are fully healed and the tail is growing back nicely...Good good and good water.

So I should skip the Melafix entirely and just use the salt
