What pump should I use for my sump?

Ok, my overflow is made completely out of 1.5" PVC.

Should I use a 600 GPH pump, or a 700 GPH pump??

also there is one that has 640 GPH and comes with a powerhead, uses less electricity, and is cheaper =)

I am in the process of making the 20G sump...

I wanted something that would do about 550 but I couldnt find anything..

I think the 640 would be good because its the cheapest I have found and comes with a powerhead.

i really like Quiet One pumps. this would is cheap and does 581gph

also, I just finished my DIY overflow, with the check valve and everything.

could I put it on a 5 gallon bucket to test if it works?

If so, when will I be able to do it?

with the pump, what would I need to use to get the water back into my tank??

Just put the hose in there?
