What sand is best for rays

Hi,

I have 2 stingrays (black diamonds), right now I have them on bare bottom, but I’m looking at adding sand so they can behave like they would in the wild.

what sand would everyone recommend. I live in the uk.

Bd trading from barrows aquatics if you want a natural look.
Unipac for coloured sand but it is quite fine compared with the Bd sand

In the past used pool filter sand for my rays and they really liked it. Its pretty cost efficient as well. You should be able to find it at any store that handles pools, jacuzzis that sort of thing. Here in the states its also available at most big box hardware stores.

I went to Lowe’s and got quickcrete brand swimming pool filter sand. They love it. The only thing is they are constantly burrow in it and I have to smooth it back out regularly. I have black diamond hybrids

I have used swimming pool filter sand in the past and it works great. But I prefer my girls with bare bottoms !
