To the best of my knowledge it's Heros Severus line bred for color. You won't see any of these swimming in the wild lol.

It's not Heros severus. This is Heros severus.

Your fish is a super red severum, also sold under the name red spotted severum. They are line-bred color morphs of gold severums, which are derived from greens, Heros efasciatus. The trouble is that most all severum species can and do interbreed, so the tank-raised fish are likely mutts that carry genetics from multiple species.

Curare were confirmed as the originally described Severus? Can't believe I dropped the ball on the Heros changes lol.

Yep, I've seen them labeled as gold or red severums at LFSs. Cool looking!

Yes, the "red tiger severum" from Curare have been confirmed as Heros severus and the mouthbrooding fish from the same river which used to be called H. severus is now officially described as Heros liberifer.
