What sex are these two Texas Cichlids

I am no expert, but from what i read the Black splotch on the dorsal fin means female. Which it it appears both of them have. I may be wrong.
 
Really can not tell. But they look more like Carpintis or crossbreeds.

Those are Carpintis, which somehow got the nickname 'Green Texas' or 'Blue Texas' cichlid. Probably due to it's close relation with H. Cyanoguttatus which is the true Texas Cichlid. I guess some simply call them all Texas cichlids now. Def not crossbreeds though.

OP-Sorry I can't sex them. I was told long ago that females get the black blotch in their dorsal like Trimac but have seen that theory proven wrong since. I'm curious though, are those the 'sp. Chariel'?
