what sex is my jack dempsey?

I need to know the sex of my fish so it can get a mate. It's killed every fish I have put in the tank except Pleco fish.

Based on the blue botches on the gill plates, I believe it is a female.

yeah definitely a female and WELCOME TO MFK also what size is your tank? if she doesnt feel that it is big enough then that would cause her aggression to come out more, in a larger tank she may not be as aggressive to tankmates

hey guys i have two jds which i think are male and female, the male seems to be chasing the female around the tank but she is just not intrested. i just wanted to make sure they are not both males.
