Are their any sharks i can get besides a bala shark, they arent really my cup of tea, for 75 gallon tank? no tankmates besides a small sailfin pleco

Fish that they call sharks that really arnt maybe 1 or 2
^^ I agree. Redtails or rainbows are great but more than one in a tank is tough, so if you dont mind having one, then they are good options.
Deinison barbs(Roseline sharks) are schoolers so a small group would work. They arent cheap, but are beautiful fish.

Agreed. You can call anything that remotely resembles a real shark a "shark" but it's not actually a shark.
If just one you can go with a golden shark. Leptobarbus hoeivinni, then do get 20 inches but it will take a long time., check them out online.
The ones I had got to 14 inches in less then 2 years. Also I had 4 in an 80gallon get sick on me because the tank was too small for them and they were only 7inches. All mine really wanted alot of space.
