What should heater can I use for 180

I wondering what the best heater would be for a 180 freshwater tank? ...im just about ready to filler up...just wondering what is the best to use

I use two 250 watt stealth heaters one my 220. It's a little overkill but If one fails I'll still have a backup.

I use two 250w Ebo Jagers on my 150. works very well. I use a heater guard (the ones Hagen makes) to prevent breakage.

Agreed 2 250W if it has overflows stick them in there....I tend to avoid "Stealth Heaters"

i also use two 250 stealths on my 180,never had a problem(temp stays stable year round and my tanks are in a basement)

are we talking about visitherm stealth ...or marineland stealth ...or is there a diff? is one better than the other?

After being shocked by three of my own Stealths, and having abotu a dozen fail at work in under a year, I don't trust them at all. I regret equiping my tanks with them now, it's gonna be a $$$ to replace...

I'd use two heaters for a tank that size, one on each end.

but the $ to replace your stealths with Jagers will be worth it
