I am rebuilding my 270lt small CA cichlids community tank and currently the tank looks like this:

Now I cant decide what to add as decoration and fish. I am thinking of mangrove roots, tree branches and rocks like the one in the photo. With this substrate and gravel I am guessing plants would look awkward. For fish, I have a great varity to add, but again with this substrate tetras would look awkward what do you think? I am open to any fish suggestion but I want a natural looking tank too. Plz dont hesitate to comment or advise:) Some sample tank photos would be good.

i think it looks really good like it is right now. the only thing i would add is driftwood as already stated.

nice cories and nicaraguan cichlid :D driftwood is a good idea and if you can pick up some cheap plants that dont need a lot of maintenance (unless you feel like maintaining them :) )

Some large peices of wood , smooth river stone/ rocks , and plenty of hardy plants .

and alot more fish ( not sure which ones , sorry ) .
