I am having a tough time pairing my silks and since I have an extra Big head silk, what should I try to breed him with? I have a red dragon flowerhorn and a female blood parrot. Anyone try these or have any other suggestions?
Thanks

Not too experienced with breeding flowerhorns but I would try the blood parrot! Maybe short bodies and who knows? With him they would have to be pretty sweet fry!

When you breed them, make sure you know what your trying to set on here. In other words, what are you looking to get out of it?
Me personally, I wouldn't breed with neither one of the female you have. Only because they either have so damn much titanium color on it or possible chance of them coming out looking ok. This is my opinion only. So choose as you wish...there's really no right or wrong answers here.

His lip damage was from fighting with another male. He is okay now, I guess I was just asking if anyone has crossed a titanium with anything and got good results.

1st generation of crossing a Thai Silk will not come out so great. After a few generation of crossing, you end up with a FH with thicker and more pearls. Overseas breeders and local breeders have done it multiple times. Some come out really nice, but some come out with too much of that Thai Silk coloring. And I myself doesn't consider that as pearls...there is a difference between having a shiny fish and a fish with true pearls. :D

I would breed it with a jaguar or maybe a red bay snook. both combos would probably look really unique and probably hasn't been done before
