i want to breed something that i will be able to sell the young for money that i could use to fund my hobby. :naughty: Needs to be something that breeds quick and is worth a good about of money. What do you guys think i should breed? shrimp? shell dwellers? celestial pearl danios? snails? small plecos? just some ideas. any suggestions????

breed killis. certain killis are worth money even in the egg stage

really? could u tell me more about this? thanks

I know everyone is Breeding these but I would make $200 a batch on convicts selling them to LFS's. 3 small 10g tanks and you can get that monthlly from a pair. But you'll have to check with LFS's on the demand.

Or ask a few that might buy young off of you what they would buy.

what about veiled tail oscars, yellow lab cichlids, colbalt blue cichlids, bristlenose plecos, mollies, high grade guppies, clawed frogs, Jack demepseys, GTs, mayb blue craw dads, or goldfish. i hope you can pick one of those. i dont know anything bout killis, sorry.

what about frontosa?? there kinda expesive but im sure there fry are worth good money, idk anything about thre breeding tho

good ideas, but i dont got much tanks room.
keep the ideas rolling :headbang2

i have never bred them personally, however they don't have many in the lfs i have seen. they go great in planted tanks and are peaceful so great for many comm. or beginner to intermediate tanks. they vary greatly since they can be found on multiple continents. its something you really would want to hone in on just one or 2 species. extremely colorful and make bettas look like hobos

Im just curious, since were on the topic...

Has anyone sold any fish for money or store credit to a large chain store such as Petsmart or for you US citizens Pet Co. ???

I asked my local Big Al's, Petsmart, and Petcetera if they would pay anything for approximitally (75) 1" convicts and every store told me that they would take them as donations but couldn't give me any money for them.

Is selling fish to LFS's geared more towards small businesses?

No thread hyjacking intended. ;)
