Ok I need some help from people who have been in this situation before. Ok I just traded in my last flowerhorn to the LFS and it was a monster, probably about 13-14 inches, bright red front half and sparkling green/blue back half with brightreddish/purple fins with the same sparkles or pearls on it.
I did this more than a month ago. And we agreed upon a stingray. Now they don't carry stingrays in the store ever, they just have to get one with the next order. Which is fine I can wait. The guy said he would give me half off the store price of a stingray. But they don't ever stock them so how can they give me a store price?
I talked to the distributer because the LFS would never call them. I woudl call the LFS and he would say he hasn't called them yet. He woudl tell me to call back later, and he still wouldn't have called sometimes 2-3 days later.
I am worried because last time I went in (a week ago) the flowerhorn had ich really bad, 100% due to their negligence. I brought it to them with a bucket with a battery powered sponge filter that I use for transporting monster fish. He was even really colorful when I brought him in, like he wasnt stressed at all.
They tried to move him to a tank and acclimated him so poorly that he had ich.
I bought this flowerhorn from a lady who was moving and had to get rid of it and she brought it jammed in a pitcher (like it couldn't move it was upside down), and I still acclimated it and it was eating in about 4 days, no problems, no ich, nothing.
The distributer got rays in (they told me in e-mail on tuesday or monday i cant remember), but my LFS still hasn't called me. Should I call them and tell them I talked to the distributer? Or will that sound like I was going over their heads? I am just worried because for one, I think they might have killed the flowerhorn and don't want to give me anything now, and two I think that the distributer would have called by now or vice versa because they told me they would keep them updated.
What do I do?
