I have three tanks up right now - 55gal community tank (tetras, cories, etc.), 10gal betta tank, 180gal w/ pearsei, sengal bicher, 8 silver dollars.

I have a 55gal setup that's empty right now. Looking for ideas of what to do with it. Current ideas:
-Temperate/coldwater setup
- Bicher grow out tank
- Some other show piece fish

What would you do with an empty 55?

Red wolf (one of my favorites)
Acara coerupunctatus (I butchered that)
Brackish community (noevespicula depressifrons centerpiece)
Exodons!!!!

kno4te kno4te has the smarter choice…

Love red wolves- mine used to hang along the glass, so they may make use of the height... i want to attempt a group from a small size...

oooooh exodons, piranhas for someone in a state that doesn't allow them!

If you don't want to use it for fish you could sterilize/cultivate/grow plants in it for your other displays.

If you don't already have these:

Loaches (any of the species in my signature aside from weather and clown are the ones I recommend).
Roseline sharks.
Bucktooth tetras (as suggested).
Green neon or cardinal tetras.
Smaller reef tank.

I'm somewhat infatuated with my Yucatan molly or giant sailfin mollies, i think a colony would look amazing in that kind setup as well and also allow for some corys or loaches down low
