I have an empty 60g breeder and no idea what to do with it. I have considered an African cichlid tank but I didn't know if I'll like enjoy that. I can't really explain it but I've never seen one that really appealed to me.

Also don't want a SA community tank as I already have one. Other than that, I'm really open. Any cool ideas? Any showcase fish?

Are you open to a solo wet pet? Or something that can be kept in a group?
Solo red wolf fish will always get my vote.

Had the same issue.. I went with a group of Cryptoheros chetumalensis, some Poecilia salvatoris “Liberty Molly” and some smaller growing plecos (L234 and L519).. It was going great for almost a year now, and I decided to add some smaller corydoras (Hoplisoma loretoensis WC) I received for free when a vendor sent the wrong item. It was going ok, but noticed some of the mollies attacking the corydoras so pulled the mollies.. All's well again.. I may add some smaller growing high bodied tetras like hyphessobrycon sweglesi to replace the mollies.. Chets are awesome!

I'd do 2-4 ropefish and maybe a African Butterfly Fish.
I have 2 ropefish, 1 angelfish, and 7 emerald green corys in a 60g.
1 cory I fed to my Asian snakehead when he was a little guy ( 12-13 in.)

I have signs all around my property's fence, that say "No cats allowed, violators will be shot."
My neighbor's cat is either to stupid to read or is too arrogant to care, and he came in my yard.
I was able to corner him on an area of my 6ft fence that he couldn't get through, caught him,
and gave my 4 Kangal Shepherds their new toy. I feed the leftovers to my Asian snakehead,
now 4ft something long. :)
