what should I do with this?

Hi,
My 7" female is about to shed her barb. I can tell because its really big, practically dangling on by a thread, and I can see the new one coming in. Once she sheds the barb, what should I do with it?

Me too. are they still venomous after they're shed? Should I use gloves to touch it?

maby net it then get it out of the tank and use gloves to put it in something idk but that is what i would do

i have kept lots of stingers you dont need to worry after the shed.you dont need to boil or do anything once they dry out they are fine and the venom is in the rays gland.
