I recently stripped down a 90G tank, due to high water bills/electricity/maintance. And I sold some of my accessories away already.. Now I got 3 Datnoids that are in my 30G tank and I wont get any new tank or such in the near future...Should I keep them for a year or two, or should I sell them off?

The IT in the pic is around 4.5-5", the AT around 2.5-3" and the tank is being sell at local ad

and if you guys are interested, Im willing to sell all 3 for $90 (thats how much I got them for)

very nice dats. i would keep them as long as you can and then sell them. big dats bring pretty good money.

couldnt you keep a 90 running then sell the rest? they should be fine in the 30 for a few months though.

mmmmmm to much money to run a 90g

as for the elec i will cost you hardly anything more to run the 90g over the 30g

the diffrence in cost is sooooo small its not worth worrying about $30 per year is probably an over estimate

if you are worred about the cost to maintain a tank then sell the tigers now they will cost you loads of $$$$$$$ to feed

Agreed!

If you were closer Id snatch that perfect (IMO) 4-bar indo in a heart beat! I just lost mine that I got in Feb '07 at 1" to what I believe was dat disease (about to make a thread on it) and he was 6" long! :(

If I were Id keep them. T1 is right. The cost to run the two different tanks is negligible at best. Your real cost is going to be food.

Sorry with the late reply, cause of work.

Its a problem, because they are in my unfinished basement. The lowest temperature I recorded is around 18 celsius, and the water I keep my datnoid is around 24 celsius, thats 6 celsius in difference. Also, I used three jebo 805 (now down to one), and a 48" T5 HO fluroscent light. Its just a lot more power if compare to my current 30G setup.

As for feeding, the IT you saw in the picture, its feed on frozen smelt ($2.59 per 160) and the 2 smaller one it feeds on tetra colorbits, so it wouldnt be a problem if they decide to feed like a pig.

The only concern I am having now is aggression. The AT beats up my small IT constantly, and always challenge the big IT into a fight.

And they have to share with two 4" sailfin pleco, 5" senegal and a baby tsn catfish (the catfish is for temporary, till I find a home for him and I got it free from a friend)
