hey I just got a 65g tank that held saltwater and i want to put freshwater I want to know if i should just clean it with just water or should i use a different way to clean it

I just switched my 135 from salt to fresh. I used white vinegar to clean off any calcium deposits and algae and then just washed it all down with water. Worked like a charm.

Well, I was going to suggest vinegar also. Just be sure to clean it well, it should be fine.

what can calcium deposits and algae do to my freshwater fish?
They won't harm your fish. They're just unsightly to look at.

Lupin's right, they're just ugly to see. There is really no problem switching them over as long as you wash it out good, mainly to get any remaining salt deposits off the tank unless you want to have slightly salty water. A basic wash down will do the trick!

do u guys know if i can use a filter that was used for saltwater and how do i clean that as well for freshwater cause i just cleaned everything today with just water will it kill my fish if i use it like that

No.. it won't kill your fish! Definitley replace the media in the filter but thats all. Just clean it as good as you can without chemicals. Try some hot water.. Even boil some of the stuff if its not going to melt on you. Like everybody said, vinegar gets the calcium deposits off (the ugly white crusty stuff) a razor blade will get the rest just be careful around your silicone.
