ok so this is wats going on rite now im putting in medication in my tank to kill all parasites and bad bacteria. im already on the 2nd day of med. its a total of 5 days. Now i want to buy a baby black belt from my lfs is it okay to get it and put in the tank while on med. or could i put it in a 10 gal for like 3 days. i want to get it before theyre all gone bc ive been wanting one for a while now... :nilly::nilly::nilly:

i would put him in the 10 gal if you have it ready for those few days

If the mac is still a baby keep it in the 10g until you know all the problems with your other tank have cleared up.

yea its only 3''. and my other tank will be ready in 3 days
 
I would never add a fish into a tank that is "sick". This would be a mistake. Clear up the problem. Make sure water parameters are good. Make sure fish are healthy, then you can add. I recommend a quarantine tank. My policy is 1 month in QT then you get to enjoy the better tank. Hell my bichir is still in QT because I added a fish to the QT tank. He's been in there for a long long time. However this is better than wiping out your population or buying a fish "just to die". You can, at the very least, ask your lfs to re-order you the fish you want when your tank is stable. Under NO circumstances would a add a new aqcuisition to a tank that is "sick"

none of my fish are sick but the fish that had died did have something so thats why i was precatious and medicating the tank so it can kill the parasites if there is any.
