So a buddy wanted to do a group buy on some fish, so i contacted the seller of the fish and got it setup so that they would ship them. So myself and 2 other guys decided on how many we wanted and they payed me the money. The other 2 guys wanted 1 pair each, 1m/1f. I wanted 2 females. So they shipped to me and were alive. One guy is coming saturday to get his pair, and my other buddy is just waiting for his tank to cycle. I came home from work tonight to find a female dead.
My question now is: what should i do? do i eat the cost of the dead female or do i split the cost up of that one fish to all 3 of us. Please let me know your thoughts. thanks

Why did the fish die? I guess you could either try and explain to them or give one of your females to make up for the dead one.

If you guys are real close maybe you could all split the cost of another fish +shipping for the one that died,or if not just explain that they took the risk of ordering new fish without having a tank ready for it.

yeah if thier tank wasnt ready then thats not your fault. you did the leg work so you shouldnt have to take the hit.

^^ Ya, I agree the tank was not ready. This is not your fault.

edit: actually, you shouldn't worry about it...

You shouldn't buy your male and female from the same seller, thats how you get inbred fish.
