Newly expecting (fish) parent! What should I expect? How soon should they hatch (found them yesterday)? Should I remove them? Any other tips? Sure I'll have a million other questions, but I'll ask them as I go along.

If this is their first spawn chances are they will eat the eggs.It normally takes first timers a few goes until they get it right.
Still, you never know, they may get it right first time.

If they succeed they will hold the fry in their mouth.eggs normally take around 3 days to hatch. They normally hold the fry in their mouths for around a couple of weeks before release.

Bummer. Round 1 is a bust. Most of the eggs are gone. Their still defending the few that are left but they're all white, which I understand to mean they're not fertile.

Trying not to be the optimist because I'm sure I'll be disappointed but woke up this morning to a larger than normal sand pit. I know the pic isn't clear but basically everything in that pile is wats missing in a cone pit. Normally that area is very level...

I wouldn't worry, you're obviously doing the right things; the parents usually mess up first time spawns, they'll get it sorted, and quickly :)

Lucky they left in in a clear place for you to see. I was going to tell you to look around the tank to see if you see any egg's or fry's hidden.

A large percentage of geophagus are mouth brooders, as are satanoperca, gymnogeophagus, some acara species are.
I have read reports that some apistogramma occasionally mouth brood. There are also mouth brooding severum.
There may be more, can't think off the top of my head.
