What should i feed a 6 inch silver arowana?
What tank decour will he need?
:D

Droop eye is not deadly...It occurs in Silvers most of the time, and it is because they are looking down alot....You should put something bright at the top of the water...usually a ping pong ball fixed to the lid, and this may help over time.....
You can feed him pellets, crickets, frozen beefheart or krill....prawns....
Jen ;)

:iagree: i also have a lot of activity going on on the bottom level of my tank. i don't think thats helping matters. i've got a few orange ping-pong balls floating on top. hopefully that helps

Purina Mills carnivour grower food will increase growth rate.

I'm not sure about the droop eye thing, the best explanation ive heard is that its genetic. If you do the pingpong ball thing and it still develops drop eye, dont be suprised. As far as feeding, keep it varied. I feed shrimp, beefheart, pellets, krill, and occasionaly feeders. (be careful with feeders)

Thanks alot guys.

No problem....Its just something I have heard over and over again.... :grinyes:

Jen ;)

When my one was small I used to inject worms with a hypodermic needle putting a very small amount of air in the ass of them this makes them float and wiggle like mad this used to get him feeding I know its nasty but it works really well

I thought I read somewhere that if you block the sides of the tank with something dark and hang something bright over the tank, it'll force the aro to look up and over time, it'll fix itself. Just something I read. I don't know if it'll work. It makes sense though.
