Right now Im feeding it blood worms, but someone told me to feed them hikari pellets because it will give them more coloration. But the bass wont eat the hikari pellets, they love the blood worms. and also will the blood worms give them ichs??

Depends if the bloodworms are live or not. I feed only Hikari Frozen Bloodworms now, frozen foods are less likely to have any parasites/bacteria ect. that would harm your fish VS feeding them live bloodworms as they are more prone to be carrying parasites/bacteria ect. You can try feeding them scallops and shrimp, if you can get them to take pellets, make that the staple. There are also many threads on how you can get your fish/cichlas to take pellets. Hopes this helps!
Try thawing out your bloodworms first and then crush up some hikari pellets and add em to the bloodworms..let it soak for bout a minute. And then feed...a little at a time. Over time you keep upping the dosage of pellets until they are eating just pellets 
I did this w/ my orino's and it worked great. I even fed em by spoon....they would hammer it off the spoon.
