Its been a long year, but I've finally gotten my fire eel to eat anything from my fingers and sometimes my fingers if im not careful. Until this point he's only eaten canadian nightcrawlers. I've started giving him shrimp too. He also recently tried and almost succeeded in eating a glass api water test tube that he snatched from my fingers.

Way back when I got him, getting him to eat was my only concern. Now that he's eating anything and everything, what's the best diet for him?

Thanks for the suggestions, but those are kind of small for him. He's an 18" eel and can eat 10 to 12 big fat nightcrawlers in one sitting, and still crave more later.

My guy eats uncooked prawns, shrimp, tilapia ..often times ill crush up new life spectrum pellets and kinda "stuff" or roll it into the above ..I hardly feed blood worms anymore..and he seems to look at me like"uhh ya..those..WAYYY to small" .I tend to cut them into slender peice so it doesn't look"lumpy" and easier for him to digest:)

POST SOME PICS!!:)
