ok i have 12 malawi cichlids in my 125 and i want to know if theres a food thats got everything in it so that my cichlids proper diet is being fed to them as well as being great for color. i really dont want to get into making food for the fish. would just like to simplify the feeding cause one of my friends are advising me to feed them several different things at once. like dropping in a mixture of meal worms, blood worms, krill and some other stuff. im hearing a high protien diet causes issues with digestive systems though. i want to make sure im doing it right. is there such a convienient healthy food?

i think i can speak for everyone when i say NLS. i use it and from what i understand almost everyone else does too.

Without a doubt New Life Spectrum is the way to go. I use and recommend the Thera+A formula becuase it has enough extra garlic to kill some parasites.

You are right in thinking that those types of foods are just going to cause problems.

Do you have mbunas, peacocks, or what?

goin great! i just got the sand and got my fake plants put in and set up not long ago. i found seachem stability at petsmart so ive been successfully using it. my water parameters are staying stable so its exciting to see it coming together. im acclimating a knife right now. my cichlids love nls they go crazy for it so thats the way to go man. its kind of pricey but worth it.

i have a mix
2 yellow tails
1 red zebra
1 red jewel
1 kribensis
1 cobalt blue
1 kenyi
1 yellow lab
1 o.b. peacock
1 jacobfreibergi
1 auratus
1 bumblebee

no prob, make sure not to get the 1mm pellets though, my oscars love it but i didnt pay attention to the size thing, im about to order some 3mm pellets so they can actually see somethin when they eat lol. the 1mm pellets are pretty much like fry food. im gonna try that thera + a stuff that guy was talking about for my catfish he might like it

The 3mm is what I fed all the cichlids at the shop I was running.
