I currently have a 72" x 24" x 30" tank with the following fish: 10" Albino Oscar, 9-10" Flowerhorn, 9" Vieja Zonatus, 8" Vieja Syns, 6-7" Pink Vieja fenestratus, and two medium sized severums. Can I put more fish in the tank and if so what should i put in? I may be getting rid of my severums to make some room even though I think there is plenty of room. Filtration consists of a wet/dry and H.O.T filter for polishing.

I was looking at some of Rapps fish and I am leaning towards maybe RT Mota, Dovii (if possible), some Amphilophus species. I believe the fish I have now can hold there own with some of these fish.

you could maybe fit in some more fish but want you want to get dovii's, motas, midas
will reek havoc in your tank
if you get rid of severums maybe you could get away with a mota deffinitely not dovii

I'd say you're pretty well stocked already. Watch out for the oscar and severums, they might get beat up pretty badly by your other fish.

everybody gets along pretty well. there are occasional fights but nothing serious. I have had the current stock for roughly one year.

I kind of knew the dovii was a long shot. I was really looking forward to getting a mota and/or midas but it may not be a good idea. I really dont want to get dithers. Any other ideas on some nice sized cichlids?

If you can find them try nicaraguense ,thor. meeki(firemouths),possibly veja hartwegi. A stertch would be theraps irregulare.

yeah i was thinking of maybe adding more vieja. I also saw that Rapps had some Oreochromis Tanganicae and thought they were pretty interesting and might do well with my current fish.
