I'm going to be trading my silver aro in cuz i cant house him in my 75 gallon cuz i dont wanna stunt his growth. I will set up my 125 when i get the room but until then this is what i think i should do. what should i replace it with. In my tank there are 2 convicts, firemouth, eclepse catfish, senegal bichir, and a severum, and small pleco

My ideas.

the first one isnt a true gar... but the needlenose fish and an african butterfly fish. they look like aros lol

i would maybe get the african butterfly for the top and add another bichir, i love all of them. i would also think about getting rid of the convicts or move them to a smaller breeder tank for some good live feeders. Maybe add a jaguar, some are way too aggressive but i've had some that would get along with everything.

yeah, some of them are real aggressive. i like a lot of the sa/ca's, maybe jack dempsey i think my jd is the nicest fish in my tank.

wouldn't add more cichlids due to the tank size, but I'd go with something like a african butterfly fish like someone else mentioned, since it is one of the few topwater dwellers that can go into that tank size and still be large enough to not get eaten

red devils! they have great personality! but f.y.i they do live up to thier name "red devil" haha

there are other smaller cichlids in that tank already and a red devil will dominate/kill them in that size of tank, so it isn't much of a good idea unless the OP wants to re-do the whole setup.
