Hey Everybody, I hopefully will be getting a large marineland tank. I'm trying to get the tank more at eye level...stand and tank together is 57 inches which is 4 foot 9...Id like to raise it up more however I don't know what should I use. I will most likely have to paint it because pretty sure what ever will be used won't have a choice of color. Any ideas? Tank will be a 300 gallon tank.

Thanks A Million

Hey thanks for your replies, I think the wood platform should work and be able to be painted so it would blend in with the stand that the tank comes with. Not much of a carpenter lol, but is thier a certain kind of wood should be used?
Cinder blocks defiantly is an idea however I think it would be to dfficult to make it blend in with the stand unless I could find some fabric that matches the stand.

Thanks Again for your input guys!

I raised a 150g once 8". I took 2x8s and stood them upright and made a platform. Then bolted it to stand and stained to match. It came out nice and the 8" made a huge difference
