use ge silicone 1 window and door, anything ge brand for use in bathrooms will have this bioseal crap that is mildew resistant=bad for fish.

I think you got your answer. ;-) If tank water will come in contact with it, it can't have mold & mildew suppressant.

Ge type 1 says right on it not for aquarium use .But Ive used it lots of times no trouble.
just avoid bioseal or mildew resistant.

I learned once that major aquarium builders use silicone mfg. by GE. "Not for aquarium use" is printed on tubes sold to the general public to protect the company from legal issues.
