Me and pat are curious as to what size, tems are able to breed at?

any ideas?

I would think 10-12" is possible. There was an article in TFH the other day about Pbass breeding at 7", they were mono's if I remember correctly but should share a similar age/breeding cycle. ~Trent

Mono's, Orino's, Oce, FL Peas have all been documented breeding as small as 12" in captivity/home aquaria...Tems though have not. They are all wild caught, or Farm bred...which means BIG ponds....Considering the availability of Tems for a WHILE now, I would think that some of the same avid Cichla keepers might have produced a spawn by now. Since none have in fact been produced, and Tems being the largest of the Cichla, It leads me to believe that these guys need plenty more space, and perhaps sexually mature at a larger size ;)
