A friend of mine needs to use one of my empty tanks as a hospital tank for a roughly 8" bamboo shark. I've got a 55 and 75 that are not in use, would either of those be sufficient?

I know, a 75 isn't a suitable home for a shark, but this will be for 2 months (i think, I don't know exactly what's going on). I'm not the expert, I'm just trying to help out.

Not a shark guru but a 75 seems sufficient for an 8" water creature for a short time

Shouldn't be an issue

Like I said, I'm just trying to help out. If I had a bigger tank to loan him I absolutely would.

To me, 2 months seems like a long time. However, what does a typical bamboo shark of this size grow in a couple months? I can't imagine it's a whole lot, maybe a couple inches?

There will be an eshopps PSK-100 skimmer, a refugium, and a canister filter maintaining this tank, so water conditions should be pretty great.

Thanks for the input guys!

Thanks Zoo, and everybody else.

I'm doing research on sharks. Such fascinating creatures, no wonder they are classified as expert only.
