I have a 6"er that I finally got eating shrimp and tilapia well (pretty fat now) and I want to put it in my 210. At what size do you think it would be okay to put it in there? The fish I'm concerned about eating it are the 11" LSN, 10" lower jaw bichirs and 12" upper jaws.

BTW, what is their usual growth rate? For some reason, I can't find that information.

ive heard they grow around 1 inch per month.
he should be fine.
but watch the lsn.
and if you have endlies watch them too.

lower jaws tend to swallow bigger things.
ya, i know...they're the ones that worry me the most. the goby is SUPER fat right now and is eating like a PIG (which they're known for). my 3.5" endli swallowed a 2" CL and died of course. i had put it in the 210 when it was about 5", but decided it looked to small in there. it wasn't eating very well back then, though.

ohh nooo you lost the endli in with your sleeper bummer hope the larger one works out for you

If the sleeper is wider then the Lima then your probably fine mabye fatten everybody up before you introduce him but it may not hurt to wait a little I all ways think to my self if it looks like it fits in a Limas mouth it probably does

IDK what happened to the endli because it was pretty beaten up when I found it. It was fine the morning before. I was away, so it didn't get checked on that night. At that point, I said f*** it and decided to get larger ones from somewhere else.

Ya, I'll try to be patient. It's still a risk. Maybe in a month or two... The weird thing is I have a 3" gold gourami and 3" JD that I figured they would eat, but no one has.

You cheater! Your getting a 10" Endli and I still have to wait for ever for my tiny guy to grow out? Not fair:ROFL:

Is that the only bichir you ordered? Better post pics!
