i agree with koji start with one around 6-7" thats where i started. lot more stable than a 2"er and still got plenty of room to grow

6"-7" is the most logical choice...it's big enough to endure the stress of changes while u still can enjoy watching him grow

So are you keeping the 17" one?? I enjoyed growing mine out, I have had her for 1 year and she has grown a steady 1" a month so far. I agree the smallest ones are not good to start off with...the heartache of them possibly not making it would be tough.

Is it ok to mix a 17" aro with a smaller one? lets say 6 or 7 inch aro?
