What size return line should i be running on Dc9000 pump

Hi Fish's,
im setting up the return line for Dc9000 pump what size should i run the return line 1 1/2 or 1 in pvc??
how should i set it up ? the tank 48*24*24 with dual 1 inch returns to the sump
run a spray bar across the back or both back an the side of the tank?

1 1/2" threaded right to it. If you cut down the ID on these pumps it really chokes them up.

+1 for 1.5"

1" works on alot of high flow pumps but the bends and fittings will kill you. 1.5" is more forgiving... not forgiving to plumb up though, that isn't fun to work with
