Hey

I would like to keep some bass in a tank and maybe a few other natives. What size tank is appropriate? I have seen on this website where people make tanks out of wood. Are these type tanks cheaper than buying and aquarium?

Thanks

hmm yes the wood tanks are cheaper. For one bass i would say 200+ gallons

Depends on what species of bass you planning to have, I guess your focus on Largemouth bass? They required 200gal depends how wide and the length the tank is. But the bigger tank, the better. Personally they like 500gal tank better.

Thanks for the quick replies. Rebel would a 500 gallon be for one or could I put more than one in that size tank? Yes, I am talking about largemouth bass.

You can keep two Largemouth bass in 500gal but be prepare for their aggressive toward each other. 8 LMB in 500gal is asking for trouble...

500g is fine for probably a couple.

Depends on how big they get and how aggressive the individuals are.

Mine was not interested in fighting with anyone, just food, but he was not over about 13in long.
