I am hoping to get a Jardini some time in the near future but I get contradictory statements when I try to find tank size for life. So could yall help me out and point me in the right direction? Thanks Prm

a tank at least 3feet wide is needed. and any where from 5-6 feet long longer if you can. but that would be a good size from what i heard atleast. i got a black so i dont know about the jardini. hope this helps

55gals shud be the MINIMUM tank size for the jar.
i had a jar that kept on the 55gals 4x1x1.5 tank for abt 2 yr. (not recomended)
but itll house a jar for abt a 1 yr period only. abt a tank size for life...
180 gallon tank shud do it, around 6x2x2... though, a bigger tank is always GOOD! :grinyes:

No smaller than a 180.

They will go crazy in anything smaller.

agree. but i keep mine in a 120 for almost 4 years now and he's ok. but a 180 would certainly be best as a minimum if you can afford it

best go with a 240-300 for insurance

True, but they can manage in a 180...mine was just a pyscho...

But yeah....if possible go for the 240 or perhaps something with more than 2ft width.
