what size tank to upgrade to?

im planning on upgrading my tank soon but im not sure what size to get. i am currently living in a 2nd floor apt for atleast half a year still. i was originally thinking a 90g and keeping my 55g setup also. if i went with the 90g i would keep the severum with the pleco in the 55g to breed and move the dat, bichirs, and syno cat to the 90g and look to add another cichlid, prolly GT. i am also considering a 125wide, 72x24x17, and dumping everyone in there along with the GT. would a 72x24 footprint be big enough for everyone and a GT, maybe something else.

i also have a chance to get a 100g wide, 72x18x17 for $100

the answer to your question is: the biggest tank you're able to safely place on the second floor.
