What size tank would you go for?

Hi,
Im getting a new tank when i return home to the uk in september, so i only have 56" of space (damn stupid walls and windows lol) soooo i would like to know what size of tank you would go for. Would it be either a:
1)48x2x30"
2)56"x24x24

It can only be 56" long, and 2ft wide as it is under the stairs. the fish i have is a silver arow, a giant gourami, and lots of SA cichlids (such as sevs and oscars)

I would got with the wider one for the aro. The wider the better.

Bud they are both 2ft wide the 4ft one is 30" TALL

I have to say with the space you have, part with the aro. Then get the bigger tank.

i would go with the longer one but i agree i'd part with the aro and the giant gourami too.......they both get HUGE and those tanks aren't big enough for them..............

id find a bigger space for a bigger tank if u wont part wit the aro, both will be too small.
