In theory what size tank do you guys think it would take to successfully raise maybe somewhere in the range of 10 large growing aggressive pikes without them killing each other??

are we talking lugrubis species here (venezuelas, xingus, maramotas etc)? or smaller ones like sax's

Lugrubis. Extra large!

Wow Taz you think that small? I would have expected much bigger. I had 1 cobra, 2 atabajo,1xingu and a sax in a 270 they were good for a while then cobra started looking like he wanted to kill. Anyway everyone is split up now and with the addition of my cinctas I am trying to figure out a timeline of when I can put everyone back together and what size i would need.

all adults? probably 12'x3'x3' or bigger

vinny kutty told methta even a pair of lugs at full size would need 1000gallons plus to really *thrive*...now, he didn't mean that it was bad to keep them in say a 8'x2'x2' but they would only be at their tip top in something massive. :et's face it they are about 16" at full length and very mobile...ittakes a full sized lug about four swishes of its tail to get across an 8' tank. Anyway, I think for 10 full sized lugubris pikes you ought to consider making a huge koi pond and putting in a pane of glass to check them out.
