what size tank?

sorry for asking so many what size how many fish questions, but you all are being a lot of help. so the question this time is about mixing large cichlids. i would like to have the following cichlids: electric blue jack dempsey, orange pike cichlid and green terror cichlid. what other cichlids would mix with these and in what size tank? thanks in advance.

how many fish do u want in total but with what u got now depending on nothing less then a 90 gal. jd and ebjd are considered aggressive but i would put them in the semi aggressive catergory , so other fish of that nature maybe a texas even though they can be aggressive , a geo it depends on what u like and you shuld get a 125 gal for those the bigger the tank the better

You may have issues in a 4 foot tank, once they get full size. A 125 would be good, or a 5 foot tank would work, although they are not as common.

As an adult the Orange Pike will require the entire floor space of a 4’ tank…

So I would suggest a 6’ tank being 125 gal or larger… and you could add one medium or two small Cichlids to the tank… such as two W African Jewels (good dither for SA/CA tanks, IME), two female Convicts… or one male Firemouth or one Severum… possibly a pair of Geos but be sure to choose the right species for your tank…

A male GT may not be a suitable tank mate for a Blue Dempsey… but a female GT would be fine… Both of my adult male Blue Dempseys are as tough as typical Dempseys, but this is not always the case…

Pike Cichlids grow fast like Oscars… Blue Dempseys and GT’s are slow growers… I would expect the Pike to grow up too fast and possibly be a problem for the Blue Dempsey & GT.

what u mean with red pike cichlid?? a petenia? or a crenicichla??
a gt and jd is not a good combi anyhow,,,both "can" be very aggresive.or u must have a realy big tank
but i think the combi isnt good anyhow,,even not in a 400 gallon tank
