what size???

I've heard that they don't grow fast as compared to other catfish. Are you asking what size tank for a full grown Lima? If so, assuming that 20'' is a reasonable full grow length, I would say a 24'' wide tank at a min. A better sulited tank would be 36'' wide. As for length, I would do 72''. This is all my opinion. I sure others will have different suggestions.

On a side note, I'm thinking about getting 3 Limas for my 96X36X36. I think 3 of them would look sweet in there.

sorry to be a pest but i use the metric system, so what would the measurements be then and do they do fine on their own or should thy be kept in groups\

No problem. I guess I made an assumption there.

I think 1 Lima will do fine on its own. Here's a link for more info on them:

My dimensions in CM would be for fully grown, 182 cm in length by 61 cm width, This is the min width I would do assuming your full adult length is correct. This tank would be slightly wider than the width of the fish. I think a better width would be 91 cm, this would allow lots of room for a 20 inch or 50 cm fish to turn around.
