What Sp. is this?

My friend sent me this pic of a supposed p. bass at petco near me. I was contemplating picking it up, but I was curious what sp. it was. Any input is appreciated.

Looks like a parachromis dovii, a central american cichlid.

wait, Dovii - like the wolf cichlid? I'm not much of a cichlid guy, but from my limited experience, those things are pretty cool. Think it's work picking up for $10? It might be 2"..

Well, whatever it is, my friend scooped it up for $2. When he was picking it up he noted that they had actual peacock bass there now. I'll try to get a pic today to see it you guys can id it. With my luck, he's going to send me a picture of a convict.

Yeah. I got all excited when I thought they had p. bass. My friend went in today and he was like "That is not a p. bass.... I'll give you $2?" aaaaaaaaaaaaand now he's got a Dovii. Hopefully I'll get a p. bass out of this though. Like I said, posting pics for you guys to id tonight.
