that's kinda what I thought. He's about 8". Really nice shape. I love this LFS. They have a TON of rare stuff! Top quality fish. It's elmer's aquarium for those in the area.

WOW! great markings and great price for that P. annectens; you should pick it up if you have the tank/space! :) --

If you want a lung, that is a beautiful specimen, and a good price. It's not cheap, but that is a perfect price.

Hard to say as for species with the body curved up like that - can you get a full body, straight-side shot? 8 inches is a little young for an aethiopicus's patterning to be obvious. I got 4 new lungfish the other day, 3 of which looks like this one, and one which is a typical annectens, so I'll be interested in hearing what others say. They are the same size, also.

Just in case you do want it, you'll have to keep it by itself, which is often a deterrent for most people, but you can't really touch them with anything else as far as uniqueness or personality is concerned. They're truly amazing animals. (They get monster too!)

Good price for an annectens. I worry about the poor dat that's in with it though. None of the African lungfishes (Protopterus spp.) are known for being model candidates for predatory community tanks. :(
