Hi everybody, I apologize in advance for my ignorance. I have only been in the hobby for about a year. All of my efforts have been in making a successful brackish tank. Well My brackish fish have outgrown my original tank, so I got a bigger one for them. I now have a spare 30 Gal. I was wondering what would be some good predators to put in to a small tank like this? I am looking in to anything, not just cichlids. If you had a spare 30 gal. what would you put in it? I have no experience with freshwater, but I love a challenge. I grow rare plants, restore antique cars and motorcycles, and jumped in to this hobby with a brackish tank. I have no problem figuring out what needs to be done and doing it, I just want to know what small predators could live in a tank that's only 30 gal. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.

Any small baby cichlids....for up to a yr and then you would have to get a bigger tank. EBJD is a good candidate, crazy blue colors and don't get that big...5-6".
