Hi,
I have not posted here, but I have read a lot. I am in the middle of cycling with fish a 400l planted tank, and I have never managed to find information on the various stages of the cycling process and the associated clues, only general information. I know that when Nitrites ans Ammonia go to zero the cycle is completed, but I am trying to determine how close I am to this point.
Currently I am on the 12th day, with two big canister filters and a lot of fish and my Ammonia is 0.5 mg/l my NitrItes are somewhere between 0 and 0.5 mg/l and my NitrAtes are 15 mg/l. I have not observed any spikes, but I do frequent 20% water changes. Can anyone judge anything frome these numbers? Ph is 7.5
I am trying to figure it out because I am currently underfeeding the fish (every 3-rd day or so and only a little) and I would not like to keep them so hungry longer than necessary.
Thanks
