how big with tail could I expect one to get? would 24x48 be big enough? I would keep it with a florida gar and a red tail giant gourami.

thanks guys.

because of size or temperment? if temperment on the part of which fish?

gar and GG may cause the ray to stress out. GG will make it difficult to feed the ray and will also be quite a contributor to the bio load. 24x48 may not be adequate.

bioload i can definately see, I would probable feed the ray through a tube.
why "stress out" I figure the gar and the ray will never really see each other one being at the bottom and the other the top. I would probable drop fish down a tube to the ray.

The more i read it seems there is not a reticulated ray, but many that could fall in this category? I've been keeping fish for over 10 years now so I am experienced. I also have fish that old which I know alot of people can't say. I have just never had a ray.

Yep, I'm in Florida guess I would have found that out when i ordered.

Also probable why I have never seen one locally.

You're in florida right? Forget about rays. Potamotrygons are illegal in your state.

Never heard that before. . . can you give me some links so that I can confirm this, it may impact on my ability to get Rays in the future.

Theres an easy fix for the rays being illegal in FL. You come live here at my house in PA and keep as many rays as you want. Ill live in your house in FL and we would both be happy right?:naughty:
