what submersible pump is better rio or gen x?

like the title saids which is a better pump a rio 26hf or a gen x 6000, both had a gph at around 1590. the reason for this question is becasue i am looking for a good submersible pump for the wet dry sump im building for my 240, if you guys recomend a higher gph or other brand please let me konw
 
i love mags. i can't comment on the others, have never owned any.

i would get mag drive but they are expensive, if anybody is selling a mag drive 18 let me know
 
I'm in the same boat as you bro, I'll be building a sump system out of a 100 gal rubbermaid tub... From my research a lot of people are recommending Iwaki pumps for their reliability and their reputation for the longest lasting equipment.
 
I've got a mag 12 i could part with.

For an inline pump it is hard to beat a Japanese-motor Iwaki, #1 choice for public aquariums!

For submersible pumps I like Rios. They are economically priced and last a long time. I have gotten more than ten years of service out of A Rio 2500, they probably average 5-8 years before they start to rattle.
 
I would say Mag, Quiet One, or Rio. For inline I would go with Iwaki (Jap. motor) for durability and long service life and Reeflo for high flow but they need the seals replaced and are a bit more trouble to maintain.
