what substraight do you use for your stingray

I'm using silica sand white at about 1/4 deep
 
+1 pool filter sand. I only lightly cover half the tank so half is barebottom aswell. really helps keep things clean when it comes time to vacuum.
 
Pool filter sand is what's usually recommended as grain size I'm unsure, also I played with the idea of painting the bottom of the tank black or a sand color but unsure

I use Geosystems fine gravel. Pups can hide in it and large rays can't stir it up enough to get sucked into the filters. You can get it at Petland or Big Al's.
