What Sump / Media is this?

Does anyone know if this is an off the shelf sump? And what type of wet/dry media is that?

Never seen it, not any of the common manufacturers, and those look like bio balls, but bricks? Never seen that either though it seems to make sence? Is it brand new? Looks like its either a lil diy or used

Yes. I picked it up used thinking I would use it as an add-on next to my existing sump. I can't seem to find anything about square wet / dry media. My guess is its more old than new so I'm thinking to switch it out for something better. Before I spend money I don't need too, I was hoping to find out what this media is and approx surface area.

Never seen it either but it looks like it has alot more surface area than bioballs. That ll house lots of bb...

years ago this was a competitor to bioballs will work just use a good prefilter

Believe they're called bio squares. No idea who makes them.
