Im building a 37 gallon FOWLR tank and want to buy a good sump. What sump would you recommend, why and what pump awould you use and how would you set it up. Was looking at CPR wet/dry filters but want to here what your opinions are and any sugestion that mite help me.

Thanks

CPR CR900wet/dry with a CS90 overflow are what im shooting for rite now since im running a coralife super skimmer thats gunna be mounted on the tank so i dont need it to be in the filter.

If you are going to have a sump why would you want the skimmer exposed? It is an eye sore imo and getting as much equipment out of the tank is the way to go, it makes it more visually appealing.

I know I answered that what you were considering was good, but you will save a lot of money if you make your own sump out of a tank and some glass or acrylic baffles. Not too hard to do and way way cheaper. Plus it is customizable to your equipment and what you want in your sump.

Yah building it is not that difficult. Petco is having $1/gal sale again and you could get a 20 long and modify it for $50. That is considerably less than what anything factory made would cost. You also get the benefit of having what you want with no compromise based on anything but space constraints.
