My fish are: 1 Oscar, 1 Gold Clown Knife, 4 Silver Dollars and 4 Clown Loaches. They are currently in a 90 gallon and have been for 5 months. i don’t think they could have been stunted in only 5 months? The nitrates have been high for a couple months also so I think it’s time for a bigger tank

Your clown knife throws a spanner in the works somewhat, as they get quite large. You will need to go a lot larger than what you would if it was just the others.

Also, your nitrates being high on your current 90 is nothing to do with your tank size. The elevated nitrate level is simply because you are not doing enough water changes!!! Or maybe you have nitrate in your tap water to start with, which also won't help.

Fully mature over 200 gallons. Clown KnifeFish get huge. Also you need to do larger weekly or bi weekly water changes.

I agree with Midwater Midwater as your fish grow the bioload gets bigger.
I wonder if our floor can hold 200 gallons…. It’s first floor above basement

Sounds like the basement just became a fish room!!
